Monasteries of the Heart

Sacred Music of Lent
Sister Jean Wolbert

“Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world,” wrote Martin Luther. You can experience the treasure of both Scripture and music in Sacred Music of Lent, a four-week eRetreat at Monasteries of the Heart. Erie Benedictine Sister Jean Wolbert, an accomplished musician and former liturgy director for the monastery, invites you to immerse yourself in sacred music this Lent and deepen your holy season experience.

In Sacred Music of Lent: an eRetreat with Sister Jean Wolbert
you will receive three emails a week that include:

• selections of classical music to carry you to your sacred center
• a weekly Lenten scripture verse for further reflection
• brief reflections to accompany the musical selections
• questions or exercises for personal reflection and shared conversation

Plus you will have full access to an online discussion forum where all retreat content is available at any time.

eRetreat begins Sunday, March 5, and continues
through Thursday, March 30.
