Welcome to an online conversation about The Monastery of the Heart. We begin today and this week with the Introduction which is a letter of invitation to a meaningful life.

Take some time with this letter, read it aloud (even if you are alone) since it reads just a little differently if you read it out loud. Then, sit with it, sift it through your heart and hear it as an invitation to you, you alone. To what are you being invited and what does this mean for you at this moment in your life?

Finally, sit with the possibility that I know to be true -- that there are many seekers out there just like you -- longing, as you might be, for an invitation to live a deeply spiritual life in the midst of their world and our world today.
